Community Service Program

Mel Trotter Ministries' Community Services Department provides access to food and clothing for the community.

The Community Services Department is open from Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Services Provided by Community Services Department

Client Choice Food and Clothing Pantries:

The Client Choice food pantry provides families with a variety of nutritious items to choose from to prepare their everyday meals. Clients are welcome to visit the food pantry once a month.

Mel Trotter clients are welcome to visit the clothing pantry once a week.

The Community Services Department offers new shoes to clients that are eligible. (Distributed when available)

Community services offers personal care items, such as bath soap, shampoo & deodorant. (Distributed when available)

Mel Trotter Ministries Christian Legal Aid Clinic:

The clinic offers a free half-hour attorney consultation to unemployed and low income individuals. Consultations can address the following legal problems:

· Bankruptcy

· Child Abuse/Neglect

· Child Support, Custody, & Visitation

· Criminal Record Expungement

· Divorce

· Driver’s License Restoration

· Drunk Driving Charges

· Employment Discrimination

· Housing Issues

· Medical Malpractice

· Personal Injury

· Social Security Benefits/Disability

· Wills & Probate

·        Worker’s Compensation Issues

Attorney consultations are available every Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
