A Christian Fellowship for Urban and Suburban Pastors
Meeting Time: Fourth Thursday of each month, from 7:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.

The short distance from downtown Grand Rapids to the outer suburbs seems like a small thing, but it can create problems for the Christian community. All too often, urban and suburban pastors become disconnected from one another. They may not understand each other’s spiritual needs, priorities and hopes for the future.
Mel Trotter has established a special Fellowship called the Order of the Towel to bring these pastors together – to connect urban and suburban faith congregations at the leadership level. It’s a unique mission that can yield important benefits for everyone involved. Not only do members form new relationships, they also gain a new understanding of the common goals that unite us as Christians. We also learn practical leadership skills and spiritual insights from each other. We base our discussions on Jesus’ model of “servant leadership” – a powerful principle that is more relevant than ever today.
The Order of the Towel meets once a month over breakfast at Mel Trotter headquarters in downtown Grand Rapids. New members are always welcome, even for a trial visit or two.
